Progress on this nonsense.
Booger welds. I've moved past this a little bit. Cleaned it up some, I need to find someone with a TIG and I'll just go over all of it to make sure its nice and clean.

Got some pre-made intakes and chopped 'em up

Then I welded them

Some light cleaning of the mounting surfaces so I can mount it on the block and play around with it

The internet is absolutely filled with CAD models for LS heads and intakes that are just slightly off. Combined with my fucked up plan I had to run through several iterations of the mounting differences between where I chopped the heads up.

But I finally got it sorted

And now I'm working through various random designs to get something that might work

What motor is it? don't recognize it.

DOHC printed proudly on the head reminds me of a Volvo 740 turbo engine but it doesn't seem to be that.

Its out of a minivan, if that helps. 5-spd manual bolted to it as well.
Got it for the whopping sum of $1 provided i put it in a Challenge car
Huh. Only 4cyl turbo 5spd minivan motor I'm aware of are the Chrysler ones, which are SOHC.

They had a DOHC version used in a couple non-minivans but they don't match.
