There's been a bunch of cool links to flash games posted over time, but they're all buried in their own individual, dead threads or somewhere in the morass of the random thread. Lets start putting them here instead.

I'll begin with this gem:

This is the game the roomie is addicted to...

Warzone Tower Defense

It may be dishonest to call this game "fun," but I'm putting it here anyways.

It's like a sort of super spiteful version of pitfall, or perhaps shamus. Devilishly tricky, but with a more modern sense of gaming forgiveness.

do the earlier versions work for you? for some reason, only the last few, and some of the nano games work for me.

using firefox v3 or whatever, and i just checked for a new version of flash...

i'm confused by grow. is the idea to try different permutations of object placement until one yields the correct tower? i don't see the strategy.

got all 40 of the balance deal while eating lunch...it unlocked "inferno" mode which I will check out later when I have more spare time

I finally solved it. Remember the word puzzles that go something like "The lady in the blue house lives next to the man with the red shoes. The person in the yellow house has the golden retriever" etc. and you had to figure out the correct combination of things for each person? Remember how you solve those? Grow is a visualization of this kind of puzzle. Each time you place something, it interacts with the other items in a certain way. You have to take your clues from those interactions.

This is how you solve Grow Tower
Box with the button
Yellow sideways jar
Bricks
Rocks and grass
Flower Pot

i got stuck on 29 of the first set. it was all triangles and the only platform is short and at an angle.

Is it enough of an angle that spinning a triangle around and laying it on there will create a balanced surface?
yes, but since the angle isn't 45 degrees, further laying on of triangles eventually causes a loss of static friction and the whole mess slides off.

you basically get a V with no bottom to it and 3 balls and 1 straight pipe...the gap at the bottom is too large to use the pipe in any capacity that doesn't fall through and same for the 3 equal sized balls...so it appears you have to drop a ball rolling down the inside of the V and quick as hell try to jam the pipe in there somehow to stop both from falling through

wait, there was one in series one like that. in that case you dropped a ball from one side and as it rolled down you dropped a ball from the other side so they'd meet in the middle and jam the hole.

I should have known that seeing as I beat the first 40 already :fly:
yeah, it worked
