A minute ago while on the phone with Knyte, we were communicating with each other in four different ways at the same time. This forum, a chat room, AOL, and over the phone. I can't imagine what it was like when people didn't communicate all day while they were at work or wherever.
 
spange gets SO MAD at me when i forget my cell phone. i always think about the fact that just 15 years ago, not everyone carried a cell phone -- AND SURVIVED.

I'd say people probably got more work done, but I know that's crap. They just BSd with their co-workers, or did crossword puzzles, or snorted lines of coke in the bathroom to pass the time.

Yes, they also survived before soap was invented ... but I'd be mad at my girl for not using that too.

Yeah, but we weren't surviving the lack of communication. If I had a kid they would have a cell phone strapped to their thigh at the age of six... or whatev age kids start doing things without their parents around.

There are just too many bad people in the world.

Plus I get nervous of having car trouble at night... raining... in the middle of no where without a cell phone. Rare I know... but scary!!!

well i know, and that's the reason i have one, but when i forget it, i don't freak out about it. i mean, it's not the end of the world.
 
Well technology was how chim and I got together and "dated" for 11 months before seeing each other IRL.

Sorry, I am a bit protective of technology. My parents never thought we needed cell phones when they came out. DEPRIVEDDD!!!!

Technology has brought me two girlfriends and the only people I would call friends. I can't complain.

i've often wondered what my dad thought when i jilted him at the door of my home when you picked me up at my house to go on our date.

then there is after i moved back home. the postman accidentally shipped my dad a package of cialis i had order for my bro in laws stag party and SRC accidentally shipped me a waxing kit.
 
sarah and I did that at work all the time. our desks shared a wall so we'd talk out loud about office stuff, AIM snarky comments about coworkers to each other and then :spam: here and "there" at each other
