WTF tampons: worst fans in the world?

The bottom line for this is any baseball team's season's tickets are 80% corporate buys and 20% regular people. In the St. Pete/Tampa area there is basically zero corporate presence which puts the burden on the fans. If you took away the chuck of corporate purchases away from almost any team it would be the exact same result. That is one core of their push to move them towards downtown Tampa area to at lease provide a larger corporate boost.

that is really sad indeed. I know if the Indians made it to the playoffs, our 43K person seat would be packed. With paying customers. And that's in a shitty city like Cleveland.

And no one has money.

If any team in Cleveland remotely made the playoffs they'd be packed, because they want to see their first championships in their lifetimes in person.

Besides, its been statistically proven cities in the north have much better fans. The thought behind it though is people in the south have better shit to do s since the weather is nicer.

That is based on specific sports. Hockey and baseball are not Southern sports so people could care less. Hell even south of NC people could care less about basketball. Now football is another thing all together. There is high school's in Tampa that draw 15k fans to a friday night game. They have jumbo trons and ESPN2 comes to cover the games.

Flop, football is like that nationwide though.

You can say that if you've never been involved in a FL or TX football program. Some states live and breath football from the time the kids are in Pop Warner. That is the reason that TX, Cali, and FL provide more players to the NFL than any other states.

Of course they do, they are the most populated states. Football is by far the best sport out there too. It's watchable at a pop level, whereas baseball is never watchable.

Baseball is huge in Texas.

It could also be they are populated more than most other states. I don't see too many athletes coming from Wyoming.
