Ontopic Random (Not So) New Music Thread

I know I've found something special with this Testament album 5 pack.
I'm in the basement jamming to The New Order, the wife is upstairs working from home.
She texted to tell me "that music is god awful".
BUT it fucking rocks.

Testament was a gateway for me to discover heavier and heavier shit in the '90s, back when my folks were worried about Metallica.

So Chuck Billy sounded unique enough on the first two albums but a lot like Hetfield by Practice What You Preach.

miles tried some of his more minimalist stuff after being influenced by him, i think
Miles pioneered almost everything. Jamal was even more of a pioneer.
If you guys want a real hard bop maniac who didn't use a net, try Pharaoh Sanders.

But not on an empty stomach.
And also consider early solo Chick Corea. Pure avant garde.

Then make your way over to Woody Shaw.

We are aware of the above.
