Prozac doesn't work, except for Beerad

The real bitch of mental health issues is the person suffering from them are typically the last to realize and admit that the problem is with them. It's so much easier to blame everything else.

so what is the problem? why are there so many people with depression, clinical or otherwise? even if it's not "valid", why are so many people unhappy? could it be lack of exercise? a world so big and accessible that people don't even know what direction to go in? all the hormones/preservatives/SHIT that's in food these days? what do you think are the things that contribute most to the way america is these days?

Seriously tho, people have it much rougher in other places and have less rates of depression. I'm sure this is a contributing factor.

it's possible that, while not clinical, people are sad because advertising is entirely too effective. we have a system that seeks to make us all feel alienated so we buy to be happy, except that buying doesn't actually make us happy, so we remain sad.
