7-zip is awesome. I'm trying to get my office to convert from winzip.

hmm.. I'll give it a go. I've been using WinRAR for years. Too bad 7-zip doesn't do StuffIt files.

I hated Rerospect on OS X. HATED!!!!!

We use Arcserv for our windows servers and I've never been impressed with it either.

There are some free home backup software that is decent but they are only good for home stuff.

We also use Amanda for stuff and it's great but can be annoying to get setup.

What were doin' with an OSX server? Besides wasting your money?

Obviously they don't want to make money if it is only for the Mac even at $80 a pop.

well, that's the thing, it's still shareware. just has an annoying nag. But it's the same deal with all things Mac.. People have been using them for so long, they won't try anything else or they're too stupid to relize that there is a cheaper and better alternative out there. I'm so so tired of all the Mac zealots. It pisses me off that I have to use one at work and I can't get a PC because of all the software that they already have is licensed for the Mac.
