There's a lot of data out there. The majority of his support are young people, like Hoggz, who live and die by Twitter. He doesn't have much support from older people or minorities. Older people are the majorities who vote in general elections. If minorities stay home and don't support the Democratic candidate you saw the end result in 2016. Even though he's running under the "D" he's not a Democrat and lacks support within the party. For example, the largest union in Nevada came out today urging it's members NOT to support Sanders in the upcoming caucus because he wants to do away with their contract negotiated healthcare plans and switch to Medicare for all. Running as a dem and having unions campaigning against you is not a good thing. Also, by most accounts, this capitalism thing has been going ok since the great recession. The economy has grown over the past decade and things are pretty good right now. You can argue whether it's because of Obama or in spite of Trump but jobs are plentiful, 401ks are doing good....I know, let's change it all up and give this Democratic Socialism a try. I don't think that's a winning campaign slogan. In the words of a famous democratic strategist, "It's the economy stupid!!" Also, if this ends up being a contested convention no way are the dems giving him the nomination.

All that being said, he's a good guy. There is a lot I don't agree with him on. But given a choice between him and Trump I'd give Bernie a shot. He'd get my vote.

None of that was a citation. It doesnt make it invalid, and is a well structured argument, but it doesnt address the claim at hand (non-viable in a general election).

If he is the nominee, even against the parties wishes and efforts, the elderly arent suddenly going to change their vote to republican or vote third party, theyre gonna vote for whoever has a D next to their name as they always have, begrudgingly or not. Minority support id need to see the citation on, ive been seeing the opposite (https://www.newsweek.com/bernie-san...pport-non-white-voters-new-polls-show-1486807). Its not the kind of support president Obama got of course, but its similar to the older voter situation. Senator Sanders has been pushing for civil rights his whole life, and hopefully that would resonate with minority voters when their choice is between him and someone who is slowly eroding those rights.

obviously that doesn't mean he WILL and we saw the flaws of that last general, but it's far from a there's no way he wins situation

Welp if Reddit is any reflection of Yang supporters Trump will be getting more than half of Yang's following. The rest ain't voting.

Good for you, fuck face.

In a general sense I suppose. I think Yang was just smarter, more analytical as far as imagining what the future might look like as technology replaces more and more labor. We can't all be web designers and Uber drivers.

The others give lip service to things like "a strong economy" or "creating jobs" but like all politicians don't get into real detail. Just leave it as empty slogans.
You have paid zero attention to Bernie.

This reads like a compilation of talking head sound bites.
