So I signed up for this thing. It's called Prevent. It's designed to make me choose better eating habits and make lifestyle changes so that I don't get type 2 diabetes like pretty much everyone else in my family. I'll be a part of a group thing, with a health coach and all that. Hopefully I'll get the kick in the pants I need to actually eat vegetables and go out and exercise every day. We'll see though.

The cool thing is that it's all free through my health insurance. I get a scale, a pedometer (no, it doesn't count how many times I look at kids throughout the day...) and the time from a nutritional coach that is supposed to help me get this thing right.

We'll see how this goes. Yikes.
 
So now that I'm signed up, I find out this scale is linked wirelessly (I'm assuming through my wifi) to my account. Therefore I'm guessing the people in my group will either be able to see my weight or at least see the progress I'm making.
What kind of scale?

So here's a recipe I found that's a part of this whole thing... IDK about it though...

Double Chocolate Banana-Avocado Milkshake

Ingredients
1 c. Dark chocolate almond milk
1 c. Fresh spinach
1 Pitted date, soaked in hot water for 20 mins*
1 tsp. Water (use the water you soaked the date in)
1 Banana that’s been sliced and frozen
½ an Avocado that’s been peeled, sliced, and frozen
1 tbsp. Raw or unsweetened cocoa powder
*Add an additional date to up the sweetness
Directions
1. Add all ingredients in order listed to a blender.
2. Blend on high until smooth. Pour and serve immediately.
