"The path or file specified is not valid."
want getdataback? I think I have an ISO I made of a bart resuce CD with it on there.

possibly. We still have the laptop available to use while the desktop is down, so any programs I might be able to "procure" online, I can burn onto CD and use with the desktop.

get data back requires a windows OS. With bart, you wont have to slave the drive and install windows on another OS...
