I was mainly commenting on the marketing trend to equate thin with good.

For what it's worth, the majority of bb failures I've seen were from people putting them in their pockets/ purses/ backpacks without the caddy and ending up with a broken screen.

the 8700 I'm ditching and the 8800 both use EDGE which is ~135Kbps

both have very fast processors and quite possibly the same one...if you are upgrading from a model lower than the 8700, it will seem lightning fast

this feels more solid than any bb I've had to date...obviously have not drop tested it yet though
