I present a demographic of my customers 830-1215 (lunch time!).

Sp = They asked for something specific.
NSp = Just browsing.
Ig = Ignored me when asked if they were looking for something.

Young = less than 30ish looking, old = anything over that. There were no teenagers.

Apparently young white females looking for something specific were almost guaranteed to buy something.

The fact you thought to do this and actually kept track of it is truly bizzare.

I am perfectly normal. I was reading a book on investment valuation until my boss starting checking in on me. Now, I do this. Im fighting the man yo. Just the man happens to be a dyke, and Im not really fighting, I just dont care.

Your sample is too small to draw any statistically feasible conclusion. More importantly your sample is a convenience sample which makes it statistically invalid.

Use a random sample of 100 or more cases and do a regression analysis.

Im not into statisics or economics. According to the link: convenience sample means that I picked the sample people um of my own choice. These were all the people that crossed a specific line on the floor while facing the product.

I agree the sample is too small. It's also thursday morning at the mall. You arent going to get a good cross section.

Correlation does != causation but these are at least indicators, for the mall, on a thursaday morning.

Dude you fucked up the quotes.

If you want to use semi colons; the first comma should be a semicolon and the second remains a comma. A series of linked statements, no? The use is considered slightly archaic though and definitely not something I'd bother with on a forum.

Starting is my bad :-O But if you want to turn this into a war. I will go through every thread on the first page here and look for ALL the mistakes. Spelling and punctuation.

The line is still a convenience sample, there are other biases such as who decided to put the display there instead of somewhere else in the store, this can bias the sample. Example, if you put a line next to a special battery product in the kitchen section of a home depot you are going to get a totally different demographic than one placed by the same battery rack in the tools dept.

Besides, I'm not trying to be good will hunting or anything, I just like breaking your balls because you are so serious all the time :p and stats is a big part of what I do for a living...at least for now.

Ah, gotcha. Unfortunately it's a kiosk, in the mall. I guess maybe if you did this at ALL of them. At ALL of the malls they are located in you'd probably have an acceptable sample :p I could ask the girl I know who works the one at the other mall to do it but people already think Im a bit off.

Eh, I'm not as serious as I sound in text. For some reason when I type how I talk it sounds a lot more mean, and a lot more serious than it does IRL.
