oooh, I can't wait to rebuild my computer. Sold two Cisco NMs on ebay for $1500 each. So that should get me a decent computer, with cash to spare.
I built my PC for just over $1000 and I'd say its pretty much near the top in performance today

I helped a friend install that beast. Damn it's huge. Suprisingly it doesn't way a lot either, mainly because it is aluminum. I forget what fan he got for it. I think fan was a Silentx 120. Thermalright makes some quality stuff. edit: despite what the Newegg reviews say. I dunno who reads or writes them, as 95% of them are worthless.

I bought my first computer form a well thought of local mom & pop operation. After what I felt was getting ripped off (15 minutes to install a Castlewood ORB Disk drive (2.2 GB) for $60 in 98). I vowed to learn about computers so that I could build and repair them myself.
