I thought you were working on a car. :confused:
I was. My dad has access to an industrial machine shop at his work, he's the plant engineer.
I can think of several different reasons to use a 50-ton press for car stuff.
We used it to press ball joints and bushings. They were original in most cases, took 30 tons to pop the ball joints. No way that's happening with hand tools or a cheap harbor freight press.
