I'd die without being able to use the innertubes wirelessly from my couch on a laptop

I use the innertubes from my couch with a desktop.....attached to my TV.

I'm about to overhaul my living room and that will be part of the deal but I will still have a wireless laptop because you can't watch tv and surf the innertubes on an htpc unless you go to some gay window mode and that defeats the purpose of having a nice big lcd imo

I'm going to have to break down and get one soon. I never thought I would need one, but things have sure changed. Guess I'll get more serious after the first of the year.

Okay Okay here we go now:

I need a new computer. No doubt about it. Here is what I want:

Decent case to keep it cool (don't care if it's loud, builtin PSU would be nice, no water cooling)

DVD burner

64 bit AMD

AMD motherboard

Have the vid card to hold me off. I can give you the specs once I get my tower plugged in and going.

wireless card (OMG IF IT'S NOT LINKSIS i'LL KILL SOMEONE)

RAM (3GIGs plus)

HDD (don't care size, over 100g. Love 10,000 rpm but 7200 rpm would be fine as well)

So if you guys are saying you're willing to be my online support crew for this let's start the game.

Here is what I'm thinking:

DVD burner:

I had a lite-on with my previous tower and the damn thing died. So no lite-on.

Case

Has a PSU with it. Silent, which is no big deal, but hot damn it looks really cool to me and runs cool.

64 -bit CPU

mobo

vid cared
have one right now that will work for the time being. Like I said once I get it plugged in again I an pull up the info on what the card specs are.

wireless card

Not a linksys but I actually really like this antena thing here. And the price.

RAM
made sure that it was DDR2 800 to match my mobo. I'm going with two of these for 4 gigs. I usually do dual 19 inch wide screens on my old computer and it was xp with 2 gigs of ram.

HDD

That brings me to 433.94 which is pretty cheap. The only question is will it all work together?

Thanks for your help.

as long as the video card will work in that motherboard (slots changed a little while back) looks good to me.
