Halp I need some good decorating advice

I really feel an urgent need to decorate my bedroom. I thought I had a plan (teal) but I'm second guessing it and want some options.

My carpet is yellow and that's not changing because it's not my house and I'm not paying for a new one. My walls are currently yellow (it's gross) and I want something that will go with yellow. I want it kind of girly and comfortable looking, like somewhere that is relaxing and nice to chill out in but at the same time I like bright, bold colours.
