How can you cure a burnt tongue?

I figured it was time. There are no blisters, I've never burnt my tongue that bad. I figured it was just the taste buds being killed.

my boyfriend bit entirely through his tongue when he was little. as fasr as i can tell, there are um, no signs of scarring

I bit completely through my tongue once, and it was bleeding a lot, and looked just plain nasty, but a couple of days later it was almost completely healed.

I managed to bite through my bottom lip when I was young, but never my tongue.
