This is copied and pasted from my buddy's board; he runs Orbital Grooves Radio. I sent out emails to each Nelson, Martinez and Bilirakis. It took me all of 5 minutes to do so. If you lack teh time or drive to write your own message use the given letter but add your name to the bottom.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Friends,
There is a piece of legislation being pushed by the RIAA and the Copyright Royalty Board that could effectively shut down most if not ALL Internet Radio Stations. In lieu of a long read, I will post articles to that legislation here:

I ask all of you to write your local congressman and Senator urging them not to support this piece of legislation. Below is a copy of my submittal to my local representative.

Feel free to use my message as a Template. This is a serious matter that we are asking your help on. Thank you

Hello Mr. Weldon,
Please support the abolishment of the proposed royalty rates published this week by the RIAA and SoundExchange (an affiliate of the RIAA) that will effectively shut down most (if not all) web radio stations currently in operation today.
The proposal that is in question is Docket No. 2005-1 CRB DTRA
Please support the people and their desire for a diverse selection of Internet Radio Entertainment. The RIAA has already dramatically impacted the music industry in a negative way.
This piece of legislature will cripple the blossoming Internet Radio Community. These are global operations that are uniting people together under a common love for art and entertainment. It would be a terrible to see these respectful networks dissolve in lieu of a few more dollars to the RIAA and its partners.
Thank you for standing behind us on this issue.
