Happy Devils Night Onno

It's a midwest thing. The night before Halloween you go out and do pranks and destroy stuff. Detroit is always known as the worst with huge arson fires every year.

I saw this last weekend the city had a huge housing auction with all the banks. They were hoping to sell a majority of the foreclosed and empty houses. The minimum bid was $500 and they only sold less than 1/5 of them.

It dates back to like the 30's or 40's. It was always on the news in the 80's and 90's for all the fires started.

no offense to onno intended but wtf would you burn down your own god damned city?

Insurance scams, mostly.

Others were organized crime doing a purge.

something about arsons and pranks originated, and then it was used as an excuse and cover for this other stuff.

Weird weird tradition steeped in crime and misery. It's just off.
