besides the mortgage interest rates, i have been mostly unpleased with penfed.

I came in with a 10k cash deposit, and they advised me to put it in an envelop and deposit it in the atm outside.

yep, i also asked to see a manager immediately, and they wouldnt let me do that either. Ghettofabulous cashiers chatting up and not serving customers, just an all around shit experience.

Promptly went online, reduced my account to the minimum holding, and transferred it all to Navy Fed. Who greeted me by name when i walked in the door, escorted me to a private office, and were immensely helpful.

I signed up at MOS school because the account they set up for us in boot camp was with pacific marine CU which at the time had like three branches and they were all in san diego.

10 years ago they were amazing. Now they're shit. I would not recommend trying to get a mortgage through them.
 
i still use them as a rate check. I havent checked recently, but they always had the lowest rates by far.

BTW, either I'm really fucking good with the artillery truck on BF1 or it needs to be nerfed. The arc of the arty is perfect for me. I can literally snipe vehicles and people at least two flags away, and at least one time didn't die the entire round.
