Ontopic Wall Street protest[s]...things

If everyone in this country put in 100% effort, not all of them will be able to reach success. WHY? because there is only so much money, and only so many resources to support only so many ways to be successful in this country.

what are you guys defining as successfull? sitting on a yacht retired at thirty?

Well you also have different degrees of success for each person.

Well that's self prescribed, and based on one's surroundings. It's also constantly evolving due to a capitalistic society which needs people to want more in order to work more.

Success is in the eye of the beholder.

So money is the only measure of success in your eyes and it wont be fair until everyone is equal. :golf clap:

Equality of opportunity isn't a guarantee of equality of outcome.

If you live in NYC and are trying to be say a Dr. You might not be as successful. Now if say you move to Montana where there isn't a high collection of doctors you will have no issue being successful.
I tried pointing this out before but everyone ignored my post. It's called opportunity cost.

You have kids, it's not the best choice if you want to accumulate money, maybe you really want kids though. The difference is the cost of making that decision. Same thing if you decide to pursue a profession you enjoy vs one that pays more etc.

ITT ZRH teaches economics. :fly:

P.s. flop's example is not an opportunity cost.

I love how people think that because one or 15 people have been successful, that everyone can. How on earth do you think that's logical?

There are only so many avenues for success, and only some much money in this country. Not everyone can be rich or successful. Period.

I love how you think that everyone wants to work really hard to become super rich. The system works simply because NOT everyone wants to!
