Did we do a thread on this?

Aside from being 7 kinds of retarded... All the effort these people are putting into protesting could be better spent earning money. It just seems like a huge waste of time. Complaining doesn't really change anything, especially when your complaints fall somewhere in the room temperature IQ range. At least take the time to learn how what you are bitching about works.

Meh, I don't think these people are any worse than any other political organization. None of them know what they stand for anymore, even democrats and republicans. I'm sure people said the same thing about the activists during the 60's and 70's but they certainly effected change. Imagine that, a bunch of drug using, peace loving hippies doing something productive. Nah, never happened.

isn't all protesting a waste of time? That aside, the root cause is sound. Stop bailing out Wall Street.
Except none of them seem to be for that specifically. Actually Ihavent seen that mentioned at all recently. From one of the websites http://occupyaustin.org/ "Our mission is to assert our rightful place in the political process and take the reins of power away from profit-driven interests." Ok gr8, but last time I checked no one has been disenfranchised and no one is forcing anyone to work for companies that don't put their employees first. Voting with your feet would more effective than crying about 'Wall Street.'

“I don’t want to be rich. I don’t want to live a lavish lifestyle,” wrote a woman on Tumblr, describing herself as a college student worried about the burden of student debt. “I’m worried. I’m scared, thinking about the future shakes me. I hope this works. I really hope this works.”
As an example. Student debt is free to take or leave, no one is holding a gun to your head to sign a loan. Chances of unemployment seem high? Why not try A DIFFERENT STRATEGY.

Democrats and Republicans both primarily represent the people who put them in power and who will take care of them after they retire from politics.

Hey man, this is result of children who've been handed thing their whole lives. Work??? Fuck that, make the government give me money!

It must be nice to have enough time off of work that they can all go and hang out together and talk about important matters like....whatever the hell it is they're talking about.

I've always wanted to start a church. I was thinking of a Sunday brunch kind of worship. Preach about how Mrs. Butterworth is a blasphemous and only 100% pure maple syrup should ever be used. Maybe there should be some hierarchy of breakfast meats. Bacon on the top tier, sausage next, spam and scrapple at the bottom.
