I think a bigger problem is that any other country that gets used as an example don't play the 50% +1 game like we do.
When a legislative body is triangulated to agree to a max of 50% +1 only at the time of voting, and be against it before and after, you're not really helping your citizens. You're twisting arms to get your name on some crap legislation.
What does that have to do with an example of the US without government?
