FYI Greenland ice loss rates 'one-third' of what was thought

duh.

if global warming experts came out tomorrow and said there is no such thing, they'd be out of a job. kind of a dumb thing for them to do isn't it?

If only there was a way to scale back civilization a bit and focus on wind and solar energy and fewer iPhones and not being fabulous all the time.

The entire Western U.S. should be blanketed in solar panels at this point, generating 80 quintillion niggawatts. That's enough for some seriously pimpin' automobiles and DDR machines.

Every roof should be solar panels. And then move to the desert.

coal is and will remain for a long time the cheapest source of energy we had. nuclear is easily the cleanest we have but it's so bogged down with regulations and people who know nothing but fear everything keeping it down it'll never be cheap and easy to do.

solar and wind are both still developing, and both still require equal output from traditional plants to make up for times when it's... you know, not windy or dark outside. there's a huge expense associated with having a traditional plant sit idle that's never taken into consideration with "solar panels on your roof"... with commercial wind, it IS taken into a consideration and that's what drives it cost way up.

Coal is getting more and more expensive by the day tho. Mostly thanks to the coal companies promoting "clean coal". Not only is that obviously bullshit, all "clean coal" covers is CO2 sequestering, which is a tiny fucking part of coal pollution. No one even wants to touch the third rail of coal - coal ash, who's disposal still isn't even regulated.

Well with this good news I think I'll start throwing my trash on the ground, drive around the biggest most obnoxious ride I can find, pour chemicals all over my lawn, and burn down the forest closest to my house. It doesn't matter right?
