My gram kept a bottle of it in her fridge as medicine (for real, she never drank) and one time I took my then 15 year old brother to visit, and I got both of them drunk on gram's brandy. :lol: good times!

maybe there were 2 different episodes but the only other one I have heard of was audi back in the 80's having an unintended acceleration issue and it took them a long time to shake the stink tied to their name

How many countries does Toyota sell the Prius in anyway? Google says more than 40. And out of the 40+ countries that sell the Prius, only one comes out and claims quality issues? Yeah something isn't right here.

yeah, and there are possibly certain conditions (weather maybe) that could trigger the issues perhaps, and I would think sales would be the highest in the US? who knows. we never get the full stories anyhow.

The Prius? I know Canada builds a lot of other Toyotas, and Fords. I looked and couldn't find anything other than Japan building them all.. Was only a 5 minute search though..

hmm, it does appear to be japan and china only. i also read that more than half of them were purchased in the us out of 1.6 million sold.

I think China only makes car for their own market. So that would leave all other countries Prius' to be made in Japan. Hmmmmmmm yeah something's up here.
 
it could have something to do with parts that are US market only. I don't believe they ship the exact same one to all markets
 
I don't know what parts would be different. Apart from catalytic converters. Maybe the radios? Dunno..
 
safety parts, especially the throttle body control and fuel cutoff. the computers also have to have slightly different programming to handle those different parts as well as the additional emissions crap

The audi one was BS too. It was all women who complained. The pedals were too close together.
