How many countries does Toyota sell the Prius in anyway? Google says more than 40. And out of the 40+ countries that sell the Prius, only one comes out and claims quality issues? Yeah something isn't right here.

I believe all models up until 2010 were built in Japan. For all 40+ countries.
they've been making them in Canada for years too

The Prius? I know Canada builds a lot of other Toyotas, and Fords. I looked and couldn't find anything other than Japan building them all.. Was only a 5 minute search though..
hmm, it does appear to be japan and china only. i also read that more than half of them were purchased in the us out of 1.6 million sold.
maybe there were 2 different episodes but the only other one I have heard of was audi back in the 80's having an unintended acceleration issue and it took them a long time to shake the stink tied to their name
safety parts, especially the throttle body control and fuel cutoff. the computers also have to have slightly different programming to handle those different parts as well as the additional emissions crap
