Only have run accross two places that didn't take Amex when I wanted to use it I think.

A vendor once told me the reason people don't take Amex is because their vendor fees are insane. That must be how they afford to have such good cardholder services. But Visa is everywhere I want to be.™

That, and they also don't pay the vendors in a timely fashion.
