When we were kids we didn't have central heating and the winters were cold. So Ugg were quite practical attire.. These days people are just retarded for wearing them if they are under the age of 40.

Not on average. Sure you had some lows (30+ years ago) that would be considered cold, but it's nothing like the colds in Ohio and it doesn't touch Michigan or the New England area either.
