ok, i think i'm enjoying tf2. i started as pyro as recommended by some. i still completely suck, and did get called out in my first game for such (i think the sentiment was if you're going to shoot a wall, or me, you might as well just shoot a wall), but i improved a bit. i also tried on soldier for a bit and, very briefly, medic. i'll be back for more.

Anyone else see where L4D2 and Dragon Age: Origins is like $35 bucks each on black friday @ best buy?

Considering I jusr spent 5 full priced games on alcohol tonight, this could be a good thing.

Hanging tough till teh blackness darkness frydaze

I scored 14th in the country on NTN trivia last night. must have been a new set of questions because there were no perfect 10k scores. I suspect knyte was 13th.
9300 and change

So I started playing DA: O. As with most RPGs, I'm lost in how gameplay works. I don't understand the wheel thing and I don't understand how to issue commands.

someday i'm gonna make a game, and to enter instructions you're gonna have to press alt+f4

and it's gonna fuck with every IT person in the entire world.

The wheel takes a little getting used to. It's different than how BG and KOTOR worked, but it's just an interface change, and if you work the hot keys, you won't need to worry about the wheel.

didya try the instruction booklet? I know that goes against everything an IT person stands for but... :p
I dunno the last time you bought a game, but very few come with instructions for play.
