I agree that socially not everyone will be equal. Personal biases will always dictate actions. But lacking similar rights or universal rights for all citizens (like the Constitution has been interpreted to say) doesn't even put gays on the same playing field.

Asked and answered. Point is you cant legislate equality, just teach it. Laws in favor, or against, both fail because they recognize it as a concept when it shouldnt even be an issue.
