Spyware - What do you use?

how do people get spyware? i've never used any kind of antivirus or what not programs, and have yet to have any problems.

You're a smert user... people like our grandma who forwards all of those chain mails probably downloads everything the computer asks her to.

Hence why its like using a rock when using her computer.

They install applications that spyware piggybacks on. Then it just baloons from there.

If you have ever used any of the following applications, you have spyware:

AIM
MSN Messenger
Yahoo Messenger
QuickTime
Weatherbug (or any other variant of the on desktop weather information)
Almost every single popular p2p application.

Oh, I used to love it but with the new setup it runs like shit. Still get great dl times but the actual program is all glitchy and laggy, just really annoying

we have ad-aware on every comp here and I rarely cross any spyware issues at all anymore...even from my lawyer that surfs porn sites investigating copywrite/trademark infringement

haven't used AIM in years, trillian doesn't seem to give me problems same with utorrent.
