Phone, email, or text message can accomplish the same things. And if you want people to find you, then it is a place to meet new people. Because if they were really existing friends, they'd have your contact info already.

If that's the case, then why fill out all the bs about who you are and what you like and all that? Because if they were already your friends, they'd know that stuff. The only reason to fill it out is to have new people learn about you, which is really the opposite of keeping in contact with existing friends.

It is pretty sad how blind you are from your Emo impulse to go against hip trends. I lost contact with quite a few people when I moved here from Canada being young and not having cell phone/text message/email. Finding childhood friends is great and when I went up in December got to see a bunch of them ONLY because of myspace. I also have friends from HS that I lost contact with because they went to college, now we talk all the time. Just because I dont talk to someone for a couple years doesnt mean I hate them and never want to contact them again.

Some people found a good use for a good website. Use it how you may but myspace for what my friends and I use it for is great.

I don't fight hard against it. I have no use for it and don't use it. I posted my opinion here and you two lovebirds start railing on me about how great it is.

Seems to me you two are the one's trying to defend your girlish reasons for using myspace.
