IT'S BF to the mushahanakookoola 2142!!!!

Oh yeah thats right...seems the demo was leaked out on torrents last night and found its way around to alt.binaries.games and blazaaaaa....played for a few hours last night and if Joey Lawrence were up playin with us he would been like WOOOOOOOOAH

So for the less 1337 the ea downloader should have it up now, or look on your favorite torrent site, or find it hidden in the newsgroups! Or wait until next week when it comes to a store shelf near you.

While you're preparring yourself for the future, go here http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/landing.aspx?lang=us and reserve your BF2 name (ok, sorry, there is talk of bf2 in this thread :( ) Funny thing though, if you have somthing vulgar in your bf2 name the Veterans program says you're reserved, but when you go to create your soldier it says the name contains vulgarities and will not be accepted. :( for example, my friend IceGookFookStein was accepted into the veterans program (he's used that name since battlefield 1942) and last night he went to retrieve his account and it said Sorry Charlie, pick a new name. DoucheBaggins wasnt allowed either :(

Anyhoo...The whole game experience is MUCH faster than bf2, there's stuff going on everywhere and you get to see the enemies health meter so you kinda know that you are doing damage when all those bullets are flying their way. Then there's walking around in the mechwarrior type thingy, which is total craziness...the "helicopters' of the future fly SOOOOOOOO freakin nice and responsive! And for those who like to stab people in the face, you'l notice now you run in a more aggresive style with the knife...blade down...and when you swing your arm goes way backa nd you almost make an uppercut motion. THEN when you kill the guy with your knife a sweet popup message is on yoru screen of the enemies dog tag which you now steal and hold onto to be tracked in the ubberly huge new stats information in BFHQ inside the game (very similar look/stats as what BF2S.com has tracking)

Hehehe..lots of dumdums laying in corners waiting to shoot people when the walk by...but i was smarter than that and killed 6 of them and took their tags :D

So last night, there were all kinds of crazy sounds coming from both SchmilK's and Flynavy's computer chairs. Flynavy was to the left of me and SchmilK was to the right of me so it was like a video porno in stereo in my house.

THAT was disturbing.

So I completed the final nirnroot quest on Oblivion. I walked along every freakin shoreline to collect the last 4 nirnroots only to go to my house in Skingrad and find that I had 5 stashed in there :tard:

And now I'm finding the buggers everywhere.

*sigh*

I love video games and all, but the whole BF obsession around here kinda weirds me out.

Well...after playing first person shooters for more than 15 years its pretty sweet to a) still be able to enjoy them b) see something very graphically apealling c) be able to shoot the crap out of little kids all over the world. hehehe...

If quake 4 and doom 3 or Call of Duty were as exciting and fun as BF2, i'm sure the threads would be about one of those games instead...but....surprise surprise I think EA did some good things wtih this game line...even though there are probably thousands of people out there that hate EA for what they did to this game LOL...oh well...its good violent fun...just wish they werent pussies and keep hiding the blood from us :( BF2 Point of Existence mod reminded me how fun it was to see blood squirt from teh enemy when hit! Oh well, you cant havea everything.

I never got past finding out what the first one was. What was that quest about?

Great, another unfinished EA game.

How many times will they have to patch this before it works on more than 5% of peoples computers?
