@wetwille What kind of lights are those?
LED t5 grow tubes. Five, 4 footers plus a few 3 footers intersperced on each level. THe top level is an old T5 flourescent with 6 tubes which I really should retired. Hot and a bit much for anything but the peppers. Heh - the peppers think they're in Florida or someshit. The LED T5s are very nice, seems impossible to burn the plants.

That shit ain’t no joke. I did the same in like 05 because of a lady. Cold turkey was the only way to do it. I had one relapse due to a rocket but after that I stayed firm. I did have to avoid anyone who was drinking for like a year.

i was never a smoker. only when i would go on a bender with my girls and “Tony Montana” back in the day and i’d wake up with the worst throat pain

but i can tell you i have never bought a pack of smokes in my life

I did almost strictly because of the military. When you’re sitting in the desert or in a war zone there isn’t much else to do.

oh yea that makes sense.. but didn’t it get hoh “winded” when you needed to “run” and shit

No we did enough formal physical training, group training, and self training that we didn’t let it get to us. The worst thing that could ever happen was getting exposed by someone in your group. So even with smoking we always had in the back of our minds to not let someone get the best of us. When I quit I was solid for like 10 months. Then I went back to Iraq for like my 50th trip. We were mustered outside in the Green Zone in Baghdad just BSing and getting the turnover from the guys leaving. And I heard a very familiar thud thud thud which was someone firing rockets at us. One sent straight over our heads and couldn’t have been more than 6 feet over us. Enough we could see the round go right over. After it passed it did the V finger sign to one of the other guys and said give me a smoke. I smoked that entire trip but after I got home I was done for good.

military folks are the fittest unhealthy fuckers you'll ever meet. They subside on rockstar, dip, cigarettes and 8 million calorie mess food
I don’t know if I told this story before here but early on in Iraq a lot of companies were donating food and goods to the troops. They just never broke that shit up and spread It around. So we would be at a small fob of like 15 people and get a pallet 6 ft high of blue berry pop tarts. Enough we could never eat them all because you got fucking sick of them. But the fob a few clicks down had a pallet of red vines candy. And the other way had crackers. So it because a huge trade network. Especially since we were all from different commands on different missions. We had zero idea who was really out there. But we would travel with sample goods to trade with whoever we found. I think that’s the biggest misconception of both Iraq and Afganistian that everyone knew who was there and what was going on the entire time. Like for Iraq when the 3rd ID rolled in with TV crews and the documented the “initial invasion” for the public they rolled up to the airport in Bagdad and we had already been there for a month and cleared 10miles every direction. We had full control of air ops by that point. But when then rolled in we had zero idea they were coming. It was like one day we had armor there.

@DJBrenton used to run ultra marathons back in the day while smoking. Used to piss off the other runners something chronic that he could keep up running all day while smoking 40 fags throughout the race, day in, day out.
