Fuck no. If you dont mark the date when you buy a new battery you're asking to be hosed when you try to get the warranty done.

Weird. The ones here come with a sticker or get the date carved in the plastic with a dremel-like tool.
Not to mention this is the 21st century where all products and all your purchases are databased and they know you bought that battery on X day at X time from X cashier with card number ending in xxxx and probably have a picture of you doing it.

And the sticker on batteries is when they were made, not bought.

Somehow the same old lead car batteries we've always had about doubled in price the last few/several years it seems.

Used to have good ones in each car and an extra in reserve. Then as everything aged out and I went to replace them it was like wtf happened. I highly doubt the batteries are twice as good, maybe not even marginally better. They're the same old lead acid things they've always been.

Negative lead was disconnected. That terminal on the solenoid is straight off the battery and the wrench is exactly long enough to flip over and complete a circuit

I’m no mechanic nor do I pretend to know anything, but I’d be flipping that clamp over to the way it should be when reinstalling it. The wires show it’s twisted over 1/2 turn.

The inside of the clamp is tapered to match the taper of the post.
It is on there the right way.
