Sorry so late and many have answered-

It stands alone (as nukesie said) but IMO, it stands alone as long as you don’t mind not understanding a shitload of references that will mean nothing to you if you haven’t seen the series.

In my opinion, BB stands alone when it comes to TV. A lot of what is being produced now owes it’s edge to what BB brought to the small screen.

If your kids are younger, it’s possible that there are only a few instances that they shouldn’t see the show out of the corner of their eye while covertly placing LEGOs for you to step on later.

ida last night. pawlikowski's first polish film and much the same style as cold war (2018). found the framing somewhat distracting but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it. think I'll watch again today.
