What does Netflix look like in 480 and 4:3?
Depends on if you have an OLED TV or not.
I just logged back on to apologize for the snark that may have been perceived in my post but then you made me chuckle.
Not coo

Ozark
Mindhunter
Daredevil (especially season 3)
If you want to feel like your getting your money’s worth, don’t watch stuff that is available on over the air TV on it. I have a sister who does that. Pays for Hulu etc to watch reality TV shows. Blech

The whole paleo/keto/Adkins thing has been embraced by all my weird backwoods Wisconsin conservatroid relatives. It's been weird to watch their descent since Trump took office.

One of the wife's friends, no idea of her politics, got her excited about this keto thing for losing weight fast.
Trying to explain cutting some cheap carbs and sugar and processed food and eating less and healthier = good.
Eliminating entire food groups and throwing your body into some wtf chemical storm = bad.
There is no "magic pill".

Also:
The walking dead (horror, drama, thrill/action)
Supernatural (action fantasy with a slight old-school-sitcom vibe, lots of running gags)
The Good Place (comedy)
Parks and Rec (comedy)
Watch documentaries at your own risk. I don't even suggest the plant based ones because of the obvious bias.
So we got a Roku and Netflix now. Movin on Up.
Saw a "documentary" last night called The Magic Pill that is actually an infomercial for the keto diet. Apparently it cures cancer, diabetes, and autism.
Can't believe I'm paying money for this.
netflix actually has quite a good library of quality content, but holy shit do they have just too much content. it's become difficult to sift through it for anything worthwhile until you've trained it to your preferences. at this point my netflix just recommends me foreign cannes award winners and tarantino's entire catalogue. I don't know whether that means they think I really love tarantino or whether they think I too have a foot fetish.
Helps a lot if you rate shows & movies after you watch them - even if you only watch a few minutes and say meh. Game the algorithms.Still sifting through and just seeing what all is on there. It's recommendations are kinda dumb but that probably improve as we build more history.
It's how the AI learns what you like. It won't learn if you don't communicate with itWtf is this, Yelp?
I don't need to rate shit.
Pappy didn't need no stars. But seriously, it's just one click. It's right there where you can "see other episodes, add to instant cue" etc.Wtf is this, Yelp?

Well you can 1 star the the animals' content to make those suggested less, otherwise I think It will just learn what you play more. It will learn whether you give ratings or not. The ratings just help you tell it "that show was a mistake" and "wow I'm glad I watched that one". No ratings will tell it "wow I'm glad I watched that one" every time.It can just give me a list of all the stuff it has and I'll pick what I want. Don't need my TV suggesting me stuff.
Wouldn't work anyway. We leave TVs & radios playing for the animals while we're gone to keep them company. Just because their "content" was playing for 12 hours doesn't mean I liked it or even saw it at all.
