I don't have brake cleaner.

Also it's due for a tuneup in the spring, so why not swap new plugs in now?

Spose I could get brake cleaner while I go get plugs.
Throwing parts at a problem you don't understand is a sure way to end up wasting money and time, that's why you shouldn't swap new plugs into it now.

you might want to put a thin coat of vaseline on electrical connections you're taking apart & reassembling. If there's going to be corrosion, that will help slow it down.
In the long run, some dielectric grease is going to do a better job, but I bet @Valve1138 has a boatload of vaseline on hand.

I've looked at the wiring harness connections I can easily get to, and there's not a spec of corrosion on any of them, or the battery terminals.

I bet the triathlete could be of great assistance in getting the mower in the back of the truck when you say fuck this and take it in to be fixed for free under warranty.
Could probably just throw it in there herself sans ramps even.
She can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and never let him forget, she's the man. 'Cause she's a WO-MAN!
