God. This is the best news article I've ever read.

Hughes is a 61-year-old limo driver who’s spent the last few years building a steam-powered rocket out of salvage parts in his garage. His project has cost him $20,000, which includes Rust-Oleum paint to fancy it up and a motor home he bought on Craigslist that he converted into a ramp.

..........

He believes what he believes, including that the Earth is flat. He knows this thought is a conundrum, given that he’s about to launch himself into the atmosphere.

Down the road, he’s intending to build a rocket that takes him to space, so he can snap a picture and see with his own eyes.

“I don’t believe in science,” said Hughes, whose main sponsor for the rocket is Research Flat Earth. “I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that’s not science, that’s just a formula. There’s no difference between science and science fiction.”

What a fucktard

Love 'em

The Hammond starting ~1:50. unf.

When Mrs. Nukes was preggers with the twins we spent the night in Portland ME for a night of MMW goodness.
I was right next to Medeskis keyboard pit. Amazing.
He uses everything! B3, Moog, Korg, a few things I'm not even sure of.
And he keeps a 1960-ish Danelectro tube amp next to his head as a monitor.

His first test of the rocket will also be the launch date — Saturday , when he straps into his homemade contraption and attempts to hurtle over the ghost town of Amboy, California. He will travel about a mile at a speed of roughly 500 mph.

So... this dude is gonna die on saturday then.

the article said it would be live on his youtube channel.

It's cracking me up that he's got sponsors.

sponsors who legitimately believe he'll disprove centuries of science by strapping himself to a homemade rocket and launching himself with no test runs. beautiful.

2nd wave rap was great. Boogie Down Productions used James Brown rythyms with his blessings off records.

Rap died when it stopped being funky.
:waw:

Rap has always been funky. There's just some many types of rap nowadays that you haven't heard anything you consider to be funky. There are still people making boom bap rap music which is in a way funky. Not the old school funk rap like grandmaster flash and the furious five. Rhyming schemes are waaaaaay more complex now then they ever were. The sugar hill gang sound like chumps compared to today's rappers.
