Ontopic RIP Thread

Even with zero effort, his voice is amazing. From his show *last night* All the videos from this concert are so haunting. He just looks so exhausted & "done" :(

Agree 1000%. It's sad when you think about it almost all of the bands of that area or era have missing major members. Layne Staley and Mike Starr, Andy wood, Kurt, Shannon hoon, you can even through Weiland in there.

thats crazy eh?!!?!??! Shannon Hoon had a GOOD voice but blind melon were a flash in the pan. Now Weiland.... damn that cat had a talent and a sick voice. too fucking bad he wasted his life on so much drugs and Layne Staley?!?!?! killer voice. MAN IN THE BOX YOOOO!!! another waste... so sad

ok so this is weird... his wife says he had NO signs of depression NO signs of suicide and so many reports of his last show being amazing and how he spoke of his next show and coming back to detroit to kick ass. no one saw this coming in his circle.. thats what I'm reading here anyway.

either way, this is a huge loss.

All of them outside or Cornell died from heroin.

It's soo depressing how all of those voices are gone. So much amazing music & awesome memories.

I did read somewhere else that his wife called friends, (or whoever), to go check on him & they found him...

But, there definitely was something up, because I saw SG twice & that guy had energy & a voice that was never tired.
The whole last concert, he trailed off & barely seemed to have any energy or passion.

Lol @ magazine writers and other hangers-on trying to read shit into this. They all talk of stuff like stage banter such as "Detroit is the greatest" and "I feel sorry for the next city" or working in a bit of Zeppelin's "In my time of dying" is supposed to be some cryptic message. Any fool knows these shows are choreographed and planned right down to the last note and last flicker of light from that par can (or nowdays led array) over there. "Ominous and foreshadowed" my ass.
