Starting to get off my ideological "disengage from the world and take care if our own" spiel here. Might be one of those complicated, nuanced things some of you more fervent motherfuckers talks about. Damn near sounds like I'd want to police the world or something.


Trouble is, as shit currently stands, some piece of shit starving his own population by the millions or engaging in some far away, unknown genocide doesn't seem to be reason enough to get involved, but if the same sonofabitch is sitting on some finite resource we'd like to get our hands on or god forbid tries to do any significant amount of business in anything other than the petrodollar, then by God we have to go defend America's "interests".

I don't think anybody has a problem defending America. It's the "and her interests" part that can get fuzzy. National defense is a good thing, it's national Offense that can muddy things up.


This to take nothing away from our modern combat vets. They're the best in the world. It's our politicians decisions I question. There's alot of guys we talk shit about being millennials or whatever who could so thoroughly kick our ass. I'm glad you guys are on our side.

$13 million dollars to Fox is chump change. And the sponsors who supposedly pulled out only pulled out of O'Reilly's show, not the network as a hole. This has hardly cost Fox a dime financially in the grand scheme of things. This was a public perception move, trying to save face after the Roger Ailes stuff last year. O'Reilly probably has a 6 month no compete clause. By winter he will working again.
