I still think Mariotta would have failed just as hard if he were on the Bucs.
Maybe. I know the Bucs offensive line is totally offensive, but Mariota gets the ball out of his hand fast. And he can run.

The real issue was the Bucs nonexistent defense.

The real issue is it's the Bucs. They did the right thing years ago when they knew they were fucked and got rid of Chucky and all the players over 30 so they could start fresh. The issue is they made horrible choices after that with staff, coaches, players, draft picks, free agents, etc.

I think we're just cursed. I think we've led the league in stupid penalties like offsides calls for like the last 10 years, and thats with everyone in the organization replaced twice, if not more.

I think the real issue is the Glazer boys. It has been all downhill since Malcolm became incapacitated. They care about ManU only, and want to run the Bucs on the cheap. They make plenty from TV rights now and probably don't care in the least about fielding a winning team.

I disagree about firing Gruden being a good move. It made the doltish local sports announcers giddy, but then we got Raheem?!? And the the Toes On The Line guy? And now Lovie?

What is the W/L record since Gruden? Playoff spots? Playoff wins? Superbowls?

The Glazers are shit owners. That's really what it boils down to.

They are only like 10-12 mil under the cap so they aren't doing anything on the cheap. I never understand the ManU only remarks from people because NFL teams have an amount they have to spend each year they can't just keep it all. I did some quick math on the coaches winning percentage post SB win. All are under 500 which is not acceptable for any team.

Gruden 46%
Moore 35%
Schiano 35%

But Floptical, this will probably never happen again.

I would be over the moon with 9 wins, the amount Gruden had each of his last 2 years here.

And I thought the Bucs were way under the cap, some $21m? Though the real problem is they spend the money the wrong way.

The 21mil is their dead money not free space. So take their Cap spend of 110 and add in the IR money of around 4-5mil and then the dead money of 21 to get to their actual CAP space.

Oh, I see.

I am sighing that the bucs will have another terrible season. At least my husband had the sense to talk me out of season tix this year.
