OK so:
I wore no gloves or armor.
I did trim his nails beforehand, though!
I did line the sink with a towel. Fanks for that tip!
Mr. Kittens was NOT a trooper! It was too chaotic to film & hold this cat down, & even with Liam holding him down.
Who knew that a wet pussy could be so danged strong!
His few "howls" killed me, though!
I followed up with cuddles & combing while he furiously licked one area of his paw the whole time.
Then, I tried to blow him dry.
It wasn't bad!! He just didn't like it near his face.
So....he has dandruff from what I'm gathering here. The flakes are there today, but they fall off & from what I've read on cat forums, if it's lice they do not fall off so easily.
He doesn't seem so freakish in the grooming aspect today though.
I guess the dandruff is caused mainly by diet???

Our cat get's dandruff if it's too dry in the house. She hangs out with the humidifier in the winter and attacks the bubbles.

Ugh! I was scheduled with her the Saturday AFTER I moved out of state. I asked if she could squeeze me in but she was booked solid.I went to Great Clips then the next day went to Ulta to fix the Great Clips cut.

April that sucks you have to wait *that* long. I probably would be going somewhere else if that happened. In fact I did leave my one lady when it did. I can't stand to wait that long to get in.

I cancelled as it was only for a cut and not a color and she couldn't fit the color in.
ETFC has the dandruff problem periodically. I just brush him with that special deep coat brush thingy to get it out. He doesn't seemed bother by it though. Maybe its seasonal and its too dry for Mr. Kittens? It could be food related too, but ETFC is on primo food and converting to raw diet now and still has the issue.OK so:

I don't get color done at a salon, but I get my hair cut regularly. If I don't it gets rather unruly, so that part would bother me. The color I'd be happy to do at home myself, but I love doing that
That's why I said I left one place. I couldn't get them to answer and when they finally called back the appts were always really far out. I'm really picky about my hair and how it cuts/how often it is cut. Now I go to a place that I schedule the appointments when I check out. I couldn't imagine going that long now! I used to but it was long all one length and a PITA. My hair is rather longish now but with all the layers cut in so I can actually put it in a ponytail without the bands breaking, I can't go that long between cuts. I go every 8 weeks for either a "bang trim" (to even around my face) or a full cut.
As much as I would love to not spend the money on cuts so much (I do get bang trims for free at least) I get a head/neck/shoulder/back massage and either a facial or hand massage in addition to the cut so it's kind of a mini spa day of sorts for me and feels soooo good. It would be nice in general to have easier hair though.

You don't get split ends? By the time my hair cut is due, I would have at least an inch of brittle ends already and I really don't want to get a hair cut so often because my stylist is freakin' expensive but then he is the only person who can cut my hair right :/
I don't do a lot of heat styling anymore, wash every other day, wear tons of pony tails. Not sure why, but I've never had much of an issue with split ends.

Just lucky too maybe. I can kill my hair almost and I rarely get split ends.
The only time I had any real visible damage was when I went RED. We had to bleach the shit out of my hair and then added on the red. I never did it that crazy again because I did have some split ends that took color bad not long after. Otherwise I don't get them much either. My cuts are totally to tame my beast.

I just grab and trim. Nothing special. My hair is crazily layered, but any unevenness is hidden when I use a fat curling iron for the whole "beachy" wave look. Meh. I couldn't care less. But, I do miss getting my hair thinned out. So realizing how much of a burden it is when it's just let to grow.

It's only because you've had bleach applied to your hair. It's tough to keep the splits from finer hair when bleaching has been done. It makes a big diff what you use on your ends, too. What are you currently using?
