Ive come to hate ice/water in the door fridges
Every one Ive had like that have failed in some way or another
Ill never buy one again, Im perfectly fine with using ice cube trays and drinking water out of the sink tap

The GE that we just replaced has had a broken auger drive in the ice maker for like 7 years (basically since a tiny bit after we moved in).

It's just not worth the aggravation to me, so an ice drawer will do fine.

I'm normally a tap water guy, but the water here is atrocious. And I drink swampy Florida water.

Unpopular opinion: I hate french door fridges.

You like side by side with the super narrow useless freezer and the shelves you have to crouch down to access? Or just bottom freezer fridges, but with one door?

We have a french door fridge. I appreciate the width, if I want to shove a whole turkey roaster or something in there.

We had a side by side at the first place, and it was impossible to fit a frozen turkey into it because the freezer compartment was too narrow.
