Pretty sure you can turn off the ones you don't want, but the 'police reported ahead' and 'red light camera reported ahead' are invaluable. And unlike Google Maps they have actual, intelligent traffic routing.

I can see that, but the person using the app on their phone couldn't be fucked to change the settings

i looooooove my waze and it's so accurate in every single country I'm in.
however
it absolutely KILLS my battery life. i use it when i see traffic ahead and i do report shit on it

Google Maps will never steer you wrong, it will just make you sit in traffic when it isn't necessary.
