Ayuh, and the last few flights I've been on have had so much background noise from the plane itself that people's conversations were almost inaudible from a seat away.

Heck, people around us couldn't hear CL on the few occasions she cried.

Oh, and the noise (the point of mentioning this), It's crazy. You are issued with those squishy ear plugs, and a ear muffs.

a lot of sites don't. you'd be surprised how many sites use flash for navigation and content. surf with it uninstalled for a while and you'll see what i mean.

I did, actually. The only thing that made me install it to be honest was the excruciatingly annoying "beep" and dropdown prompting me to install it every time.
