I just heard Fat Freddy's Drop on Album 88 this morning. Very interesting jazz/r&b/hip-hop/soul thing from New Zealand. I thought I would share.


Anyone else got anything from a somewhere other than North America that worth a listen?

if you wanna heard an old NZ band that was really solid check out Supergroove. I think they only released one album but it was excellent.

Manu Chao is interesting.

edit: oh, if you like that reggae type stuff check out Bedouin Soundclash. I know Canada isn't non-north american as requested but there's a pretty good shot they haven't made it to the US yet.
