I think the Simpsons were at their funny peak in the late 90s, I remember laughing through most of an episode back in those days. 2001-2004 were probably their worst years, and now they have occasional funny episode.

I've also noticed that they sometimes try to emulate Family Guy by doing a lot more "random" bits, unfortunately these are rarely funny.

It would have better for them to release 7 to 10 years ago but I'll still see and probably laugh some. Has to better than the South Park Movie.
