FYI Windows 8 - Feel free to break yo shiz

I already have an Action Pack Subscription which includes Technet. It's pretty awesome to be legit with the OS on my computers.

As for Windows 8, I was unimpressed with the pre-release beta a few months that I tried on a laptop. The Metro interface was a bit annoying, almost Fisher Price like. I don't need huge buttons to commonly used apps. I want to see a desktop and have lots of shortcuts. Since I'm more of a desktop user and not a tablet or mobile user, I don't see how this is going to work. Win 8 server sounds interesting, gotta read up on what new features it has.

grabbing the 64bit version to throw on an i5 laptop and check out. might throw it on the home laptop if I like it enough.
 
I love the Metro interface on my phone, it works great, but the concept of swiping does not work when you have a mouse. Any activity were swiping is involved won't be very effective.
 
weird. first 2 burns didn't work. 3rd appears to be. maybe it doesn't like the old ass version of nero I'm using.
