I’ve decided I’m mentally ill on a bunch of levels, and that’s one. Thank goodness my son is around or I’d do myself in. (It’s one of those clusters)

I have to hand it to old people who have no dependents or close relatives and still choose to stay around. WTF keeps them going? Wheel of Fortune? What if it’s preempted?
Reading, hobbies, the thought of having outlived many of the people they thought sucked. idk. Oh, and the stupid shit the most recent generation is doing - always good for a few chuckles. Or face palms.

If reading gives folks enough reason to continue on, power to them, but the rest of their life must’ve been spent setting the excitement/contentment bar low enough that reading is an alternative. As my verbal skills here reflect, I’m not much of a reader.

You should get a cat.
I’d love to, but they’d always be second best, and I kind of like having the extra dollar a day for food for me.

Thanks for the suggestions, boys. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful or ingratish, you pick.

Books are awesome but they don't replace human relation. If you want to improve quality of life with reading, start a book club. Hate reading? Movie club, music club, chess club. Most of those can be achieved with a library card. Life doesn't have to be exciting to be worthwhile. We are social animals.

Yeah, that where I fail. I’ve met enough people in my life, thank you.

I’m pretty much okay for 27-ish days a month, but when I manstruate, who GAF? Not me.

Besides that, I fear “book club” might be code for gay shit.

It's always important to know that the pee is stored in the balls.

I finished Lateralus. It has a lot of energy. I like it as much as the other two. I think Fear Inoculum is still my favorite since it is slightly more chill than Lateralus. I'm hearing a trend here and wouldn't be surprised to see the albums get heavier the closer I get to the first album and EPs.

Comparing these albums is like splitting hairs. They are similar enough that I have a hard time putting my finger on why I like one more than the other.

The one small complaint I have about Lateralus is the last song. It was very out there, much different than the rest of the album. It would have been better as the first track. It was better than it being in the middle though.

I just made an amazing dressing/sauce with tahini, mustard, maple syrup, and Apple cider vinegar.

I poured it on top of couscous, pinto beans, and some veggies. It just needed some lightly sauteed kale.

Something weird happened today.
The sun was behind clouds as often as not and it only got up to like 96. There was some sort of breeze most of the time and if I didn't know better I could've sworn a single molecule of water made it all the way to the ground before turning into steam earlier.

Makes you feel spunky, like you actually want to do something other than hunker down and wait it oot.

Kind of the opposite of, yet similar to, how folk in Darthland feel when the first hint of spring puts it's first crack in the grip of winter.
