We played the Irish pub last night on the patio. Matt had a preexisting gig, so John filled in on drums.
It's interesting to go from playing with John Bonham to Steve Gadd. Took about 40 minutes to groove in the pocket with John. He only fills in with us about once a year.

My drummer friend asked if I'd come do a gig with him and his new wife. He's awesome. She's lacking to put it nicely. I politely backed out. Too much work for not enough return.

Being in Asia helped. I think it's criminal that I was in Tokyo for at least 3 days and didn't make it to any music stores.
